About Us

We are a family that believes the heart of God is missions. We believe that our purpose on this earth is to share Jesus with those living without Him and to serve God wherever He calls us. We love our family, learning new things, an occasionally spontaneous dance party, conversations with friends, and of course a good cup of coffee. This is our way of sharing the story God is writing with our lives with you, our family and friends.

So what does ekballo mean? Why name a blog such a strange word?

The Greek word ekballo means: to eject; bring forth, cast, drive, expel, leave, pluck out, put forth, send away. In Matthew 9:38, Jesus says “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” (ESV)

Ekballo is the Greek word translated as “sent out” in this verse.

As God has “ekballo” or sent us to Montreal where so many are without Him, we hope you will not only pray for us but that our story will help you find the calling He has given you and put your “yes” on the table for the sake of the Gospel.

God has given us a heart to help people see and understand who Jesus is and how they can follow Him. As we lead at Renaissance Church, we will seek to build relationships with  families and share Jesus through these friendships. Our prayer is to see families come to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and share their faith in Jesus with others.

Come visit us in Montreal!

  1. You will have my prayer support. I will give as much as I can to support you financially. I picked up a small rock in Montreal and painted it with an M. It reminds me to pray for Montreal.
